The new 2026 edition of Lab. kicks off. The design of wholesale electricity markets at the centre of the discussion.  

The 2026 edition of Lab., the project of Public Affairs Advisors and RACE Consulting, officially kicked off on January 29^th.

The initiative is titled “The design of wholesale electricity markets in Italy: proposals for an efficient solution”.

This year’s works will be focused on promoting discussions and exchanges of views on the electricity market, the functioning of wholesale markets as well as on how regulatory and legislative interventions can favour efficiency, competition and price stability.

Lab. 2026 intends to put forward concrete proposals for the improvement of the market design, so as to support a more and more sustainable and resilient energy system.

This year as well, the project can count on the support of key partners: A2A, Dolomiti Energia, Edison, Enel, Engie, ERG, Iberdrola e REPower.
